Gordon Brown en merde: anti-war demo in Manchester

 

The police horse, from yesterday’s anti-war demo in Manchester, obviously values Gordon Brown’s leadership as much as the rest of us….!!

 

Anyway, the demo was smaller than the one in 2006 and not as well built as the one in Manchester in 2006 where I could get the union train from Euston. Nothing like that this year. I am not going to give an estimation as that usually gets me into trouble. So come to your own conclusions.

 

The cops were spoiling for a fight and the policing was aggressive. At the back of the demo the cops were singling out the anarchists while taking photos of the crowd. We marched and echoing 2006 we protested as near as the cops would permit outside LP conference.

 

The usual suspects spoke at the rally. And speaking of aggressive police tactics….one of the speakers at the rally stated that someone was arrested for wearing a mask of Gordon Brown…! I don’t know more details but it pretty much shows how authoritarian things are becoming.
