Ok, I should stop stalking these herons but they are a fascinating sight to behold . I witnessed that the nest has 3 adult herons watching and feeding the chicks. Now that’s collective childcare. I have been watching these herons for over a year and now they have young.
I always imagine when I lurk around camera poised that the herons are thinking not that woman again…. Certainly I reckon the chicks slick their hair into a punky style.
