“If you add a teaspoon of wine to a barrel of sewage, you have a barrel of sewage. If you add a teaspoon of sewage to a barrel of wine, you have a barrel of sewage”.
The above quote is apt when thinking about the SWP and violence against women. Dealing with violence against women by just suspending the individual, getting them to read a few books on women’s liberation or just getting your pals to find in their favour makes a mockery of violence against women. It’s shameful. Once someone has used violence against a woman in a socialist organisation they have added sewage in the wine. They have betrayed the class. They have scabbed. They have taken away the right to ever call themselves a socialist. No excuses. No letting someone off the hook. Expel them. It also shows to the rest of the Left you take this seriously. But instead there’s excuses being made about the credibility of the victims/survivors. The SWP has pretty much become a barrel of sewage….
Hardly the worst offence of the SWP, in all fairness…

Huh? What’s worse than violence against women?
Sympathising with Islamism (ie the most radically misogynistic dogmas on earth), various dictators, absolving itself of helping secular Syrian revolutionaries etc etc. This current case it just part of its wider worldview.
